Hot Takes In Marketing For 2026

Author: Lauren Lopez
Here are our strongest takes as we step into 2026: what’s in, what’s fading, and what’s actually worth your marketing energy this year.

LEARN MORE

2026 is here, and the marketing world isn’t slowing down anytime soon.

Between AI becoming as normal as email, social platforms rewriting the rules monthly, and your audience’s attention span feeling shorter than a TikTok, it’s hard to know where to invest your time, energy, and budget.

At Juxt, we don’t chase trends just to say we’re “on trend”. We believe smart strategy, clear creative, and long-term relationships still win the day.  We also know that keeping a finger on the pulse is how our clients stay ahead.

So, here are our strongest takes as we step into 2026: what’s in, what’s fading, and what’s actually worth your marketing energy this year.

1. AI Is the New Normal, And That’s a Good Thing

The “AI witch hunt” is over. Now we’re asking: is it helpful?

In the early days of ChatGPT and other AI tools, every piece of content sparked suspicion. “Did a robot write this?” But by now, we’ve all realized: AI is here to stay, and it’s not the enemy.

It’s the new spellcheck. It’s part of the workflow. It’s a tool, not a replacement.

The difference is how it’s used. Brands that rely on it to fill their websites with filler content? Easy to spot. But brands using it to support SEO, brainstorm ideas, or streamline production, while saving the human storytelling for moments that matter? That’s the sweet spot.

Juxt POV:

Use AI to speed things up. Not to replace your voice. Strategy and storytelling still need people.

2. Organic Social Is a Billboard, Not a Sales Machine

You need it for credibility, but don’t expect it to convert.

Let’s say it out loud: organic social media isn’t going to drive 90% of your revenue.

In 2026, it functions more like a digital storefront or billboard. People will check your Instagram or LinkedIn to see if you’re active, legit, and aligned with their vibe, but they’re not going to stumble into your feed and instantly fill out a form.

Juxt POV:

Social media is essential, but for presence, not necessarily performance. Want conversions? Pair your social strategy with PPC, SEO, and a website that does the heavy lifting.

3. Websites Are Getting Simpler, Not Flashier

Bold doesn’t mean busy. Clarity is creativity. Overdesigned websites are losing. Fast-loading, well-structured, minimal sites are winning.

We’re in a season of subtraction,  fewer animations, less scroll fatigue, more purposeful design, and hierarchy. Users want to land on your site and immediately understand who you are, what you do, and what to do next.

Juxt POV:

Your website is a resource, not a sculpture. We’re designing clean, focused sites that guide users, not confuse them.

4. App Fatigue Is Real: Don’t Be One More Download

Your audience doesn’t want another icon on their home screen.

Even in ministry and nonprofit spaces, the shift is clear: users are tired of downloading apps for every single interaction. Unless your brand has daily utility (think airlines or banking), your audience would rather access your tools in-browser.

Custom web applications, like our widgets that integrate with MinistryPlatform, are hitting the sweet spot. They’re fast, personalized, and don’t ask your users to download anything or remember another password.

Juxt POV:

Mobile-first web experiences are winning. Meet your audience where they are; don’t ask them to install another thing.

5. Paper Is Cool Again

Inboxes are noisy. Mailboxes? Surprisingly peaceful.

Yes, we said it. Direct mail is having a moment, but not the “Dear Valued Customer” kind. We’re talking beautifully designed, personalized, meaningful print pieces that show up when no one else is showing up.

In a world of endless email and algorithm-driven ads, something tangible can feel incredibly human.

Juxt POV:

Print isn’t dead; it’s just picky. If you can’t make it feel intentional, don’t bother. But, if you can make it beautiful, timely, and relevant? You’ll stand out in all the right ways.

Strategy Wins in 2026

This year isn’t about shiny objects; it’s about showing up with clarity, empathy, and intentionality. It’s about knowing when to lean into technology and when to make it personal.

At Juxt, we’re not just watching these trends; we’re helping our clients navigate them with confidence and purpose. Whether you’re rethinking your site, branding, or overall digital strategy, we’d love to be your guide.

Let’s talk about your goals today.
